The Disneyland JUNGLE CRUISE 50th Anniversary Replica Boat is a Limited Edition highly collectible item celebrating the iconic Adventureland attraction’s milestone anniversary. Only 1500 were made. Produced by Disney in 2005, sculpted by Disney artists Rich Allsmiller and William Babbington, this well-made replica boat features intricate details inspired by the Adventureland JUNGLE CRUISE boat, making it a must-have for fans of the Disney franchise. Crafted in China of hand-painted resin, metal and vinyl, this officially licensed boat is a unique addition to any Disney collection, capturing the magic and nostalgia of this classic Disneyland attraction. The JUNGLE CRUISE opened July 17, 1955 – the date of Disneyland’s Grand Opening in Anaheim, California – and this replica boat dates from 50 years later, 2005. It has never been “played with, ” only displayed with pride on top of a book case in my house for the past 20 years. It hasn’t been properly cleaned or dusted in 20 years. I have tried to clean it up quite a bit, with pressurized air and a gentle cleaner, but you will probably want to clean it even more thoroughly. 2 I noticed that the red and white vinyl fringe hanging from the top of the boat has “turned up” in a few places, and doesn’t hang perfectly straight down. This is a small thing that you might be able to easily correct. 3 I had to use just a drop of super glue on both the front and back strip of vinyl, where the fringe seam was beginning to pull apart just a small bit. Please check out the photos. Otherwise, in my opinion the boat itself and the included display stand are in very good to excellent condition. The little captain’s wheel still spins’round and’round. The propeller appears to be metal. There are no broken parts whatsoever. After 20 years, I still have the original box, which is in fair to good condition. I used it to hold CDs and DVDs, and it wax stored in a closet or under a bed. It’s mostly just scuffed up in several places, and I did have to put two small pieces of tape around two edges of the lid. Again, please see my photos. The box itself, though scuffed on the sides and interior, is otherwise sturdy and in quite good condition. Please note that the bottom of the box is printed with the Disneyland logo and other information about the boat. Dimensions-wise, please note the following: Length of boat: approximately 14.5 inches Width of boat: approximately 5.0 inches Height of boat: approximately 5.5 inches Weight of boat and stand: about 5 pounds You will note that the boat is very well made, and has a heavy feel to it. Please note that I will package the boat with great care and lots of packing material, to keep it safe and secure while in transit to your address. If you have any questions whatsoever, please let me know, and I will try to answer them for you. I have loved owning this distinctive CONGO QUEEN Jungle Cruise boat! Visitors to my house have also loved seeing it. So many good memories of these boats! But, it’s time to part with it!
