I only opened the box to take pictures. So after taking pictures, I wrapped each individual tea cup in bubble wrap before placing it back in its designer box. The saucers are safe in the center, separated by cardboard inserts. The cups and saucers come in a colorful round-lidded box based on the ride’s original spinning turntable. The box is 12 1/2 in diameter and is in very good condition. There are no imperfections that I can see. Looks the same as when it arrived in 2005. Stored in a cupboard with other Disney memorabilia and never used. Designed by Kevin Kidney and Jody Daly, the set comes in its original box with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY and all original packaging. The cups and saucers in this set are patterned after the original 1955 version of the Disneyland attraction, with colors and designs by Disney Imagineer Bruce Bushman. The individual cups have already been wrapped in bubble wrap and do not move inside the box. Here’s a little about Alice in Wonderland I found on Wikipedia. Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It is based on Lewis Carroll’s 1865 novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and its 1871 sequel Through the Looking-Glass. The production was supervised by Ben Sharpsteen, and was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske. With the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, Sterling Holloway, Jerry Colonna, Verna Felton, J. Pat O’Malley, Bill Thompson, and Heather Angel, the film follows a young girl Alice who falls down a rabbit hole to enter a nonsensical world Wonderland that is ruled by the Queen of Hearts, while encountering strange creatures, including the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. Here’s a little about Disneyland I found on Wikipedia. Disneyland is a theme park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It was the first theme park opened by The Walt Disney Company and the only one designed and constructed under the direct supervision of Walt Disney, and opened on July 17, 1955. Disney initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small for the ideas that he had. After hiring the Stanford Research Institute to perform a feasibility study determining an appropriate site for his project, Disney bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. The park was designed by a creative team hand-picked by Walt from internal and outside talent. They founded WED Enterprises, the precursor to today’s Walt Disney Imagineering. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955. Since its opening, Disneyland has undergone expansions and major renovations, including the addition of New Orleans Square in 1966, Bear Country in 1972, Mickey’s Toontown in 1993, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in 2019. [2] Additionally, Disney California Adventure Park opened in 2001 on the site of Disneyland’s original parking lot.
