A beautiful piece of Walt Disney Imagineering history celebrating the 50th anniversary of Disneyland. I acquired this badge directly from the personal collection of the longtime Walt Disney Imagineer whose name appears on it. Unlike the standard Disneyland Cast Member anniversary nametags, this version was specifically issued for Walt Disney Imagineering. It’s also unusually large. While most Disney Cast Member nametags measure approximately 2.5 inches wide, this oversized anniversary badge measures closer to 2.75 inches wide. The badge remains in excellent vintage condition. The face is exceptionally clean, the blue and gold lettering remains crisp, the castle artwork is bright and colorful, and the reflective gold detailing still presents beautifully. The original pin hardware is intact. A rare, beautifully preserved piece of genuine Walt Disney Imagineering history, with direct provenance back to the Imagineer who owned it.
